cshit_v_tspo.jpgA new dispatch board was put into operation at Saratov DG, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies). This equipment is designed to provide control and management of power grid facilities operated by the Central Production Department. The area of responsibility of this PD includes electric networks of 5 districts of the Saratov region — Petrovsky, Voskresensky, Bazarno-Karabulaksky, Novoburassky, Baltaysky, as well as 110 kV, 35 kV, and 10-6 kV electric networks in Saratov.415_cshit_v_tspo2.jpg

This new equipment provides a number of benefits. The dispatch board is managed via a dispatcher PC (running Sistel, a dedicated software package) that collects any relevant telecommunication data and registers any irregularities and deviations from the normal network operation. To provide increased visibility of the status of power grid facilities, LED indication is used. The new dispatch board accommodates the "Common Use Screen". This equipment enables the operator to display additional information from GLONASS, or Gobal Navigation Satellite System, and locate and define the speed of vehicles of field service teams and special-purpose vehicle sand machinery for greater coordination between teams during disaster response and recovery operations.

For real-time monitoring of weather conditions, a meteorological station was installed. Since the operator performs operational and technological control using Moscow time, two clocks for time synchronization via a local network are provided for better convenience. According to Aleksandr Tretyakov, Head of the Department for operational and technological management and situation awareness of IDGC of Volga, PJSC, technology-savvy and smart design of dispatch board components will enable operators to efficiently perform their day-to-day tasks and will contribute to reduced troubleshooting times in case of any contingency.
