A resident of Khyrshkasy village of Cheboksarsky district of the Chuvash Republic decided to use electricity apart from the meter by surge on the power line.

Power engineers of the Chuvashenergo branch in the course of a scheduled inspection by a professional look at the characteristic features defined a possible energy thieve: figured him out by the wire bundle at the hidden place and marks on the wires of OPL. But it was succeeded to catch the violator red-handed only at repeated check in a night-time. It turned out that on the territory of his homestead land on the trees and under the ground, countless wires were laid on, sockets were installed, from which house, bath and numerous power devices were powered by electricity.

Lights, electrical appliances and tools, electric heaters worked continuously, the house was warm, electricity bills were small. The violator admitted his guilt, a statement on imposition of administrative sanctions was sent to the police. By law, the calculation of the volume of unmetred electricity has been produced since the last inspection and amounted to more than 6.5 thousand kWh. Now, in addition to paying for illegally consumed electricity, the violator faces an administrative fine from 10 to 15 thousand rubles.
